Quite often it’s difficult to know whether these calls will be perceived as intrusive and pushy or passionate and keen. 99% of the time it’s the latter.  

As long as you have a clear idea of what you want to say, the follow up call will improve your chances of securing employment. Obviously there are exceptions to this rule. You should wait at least five to eight business days before making the call and if you hear from the interviewer before this time, you shouldn’t make it.
