A Burger King employee has been fired for standing on burger bun lettuce, Yahoo news reports.

The employee, based in the Cleveland area Burger King, took a photo of himself standing on lettuce and posted it online boasting ‘this is the lettuce you eat at Burger King’.

The employee was found out by a hacking group who were able to track the GPS signal of his mobile phone and traced it back to the fast food restaurant.

Burger King has since released a statement stating that the people involved have been fired for breaking the company’s strict food safety policy.
